Here are some questions we’re often asked:

How much do The Jazzberries cost?

Our prices range from £1,000 to £3,500, as we provide a wide range of options.  We don’t quote online as so much depends on the size of the band, location of your event and timings.  We sometimes ask for accommodation if the venue is far from London, and outside the M25 we charge petrol at the standard Musicians Union rate. Just give us a call or send an email for a detailed quote.

What geographical area do you play in?

The band is based in London but we perform throughout the UK and sometimes for clients all over the world.

When is payment due?

A 25% deposit will book your date, and the balance is due 14 days before your event.

How long do you play for?

We usually play for 3 x 45 minute sets or 2 x 65 minute sets over a 3 hour period. We are happy to discuss other requirements.

Do you provide your own PA and lights?

The Jazzberries can provide all the PA necessary (and sound engineer if appropriate).  We quote separately for PA as different sized venues have very different requirements.  Alternatively we can work with in-house PA if suitable for music. Our sound system is often available for speeches, subject to timings.  We can provide lights of various types too - just ask.

What band sizes are there?

The Jazzberries perform in a trio up to an 8-piece, and we also have a number of different line-ups to suit different styles of event. 

What do the musicians need?

A power supply is essential for our electrical equipment. We also need parking - and time to set up!  We may have travelled for several hours to reach you, so a hot meal and soft drinks please to keep up energy levels.

Do you play CDs during your breaks?

It can be nice to have a break from the music (like an interval at a concert) but if you like we can bring our MP3 player or connect yours to our system to play background-level music.

Can you play at our wedding ceremony as well as at the reception?

Yes - we often do this and have several special wedding packages available. It works very well to have a few of us earlier in the day with the rest of band joining them for the evening. Just let us know your requirements and we’ll make it work!

How much space do you need?

Probably less than you think, for example about 4m x 3m for a 6-piece band. We are adept at fitting into unusual spaces! A stage isn’t necessary (though it always looks better if you have one).

Can you play outside?

No problem, though we will need to be under cover if there is any chance rain as our equipment is easily damaged.

How long do you take to set up?

It usually takes about 45 minutes to set up, and we aim to arrive an hour before the performance. If you would like us to arrive earlier to set up this is usually possible but may involve a small extra 'waiting fee'.

Can we come and see you play live?

Nearly all of our engagements are private functions, which can make this tricky.  Luckily most people hear our sound clips and read the recommendations and that’s enough! However, do ask and we’ll sort it if we can.

What if I have to cancel?

No problem - with enough notice we may be able to secure another booking and refund some of your payment.

Have The Jazzberries ever cancelled?

Never! If one of our players is taken ill, we quickly arrange a replacement of equal quality.
